King of Hearts Reimagined is a multimedia play told through interlinked acts, bound together by the beloved 1968 Persian film Soltane Ghalbha (King of Hearts). The play follows Iranian women across generations whose lives are shaped by its legacy. Moving between memory, cinema, and technology, the work explores love, exile, and what we carry with us when we leave home. It invites audiences of every background to gather, remember, and feel together.
Elevator Project
The Center supports small, emerging, and historically marginalized arts organizations and artists who entertain and challenge our community in meaningful ways. The Elevator Project has evolved into a curated season of bold, genre-spanning work — selected through a competitive process by a panel of arts professionals and advocates.
The Elevator Project is presented by the Eugene McDermott Foundation, and generously supported by the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture, The Theodore and Beulah Beasley Foundation, and the Texas Commission on the Arts.
