Frozen Veils: Echoes of Poets is an immersive multimedia musical drama that takes audiences on a psychological journey of the soul. How do we respond when the foundations of our world fracture?

Following the acclaimed Kennedy Center performance of their original production, Calling of the Whales, Threaded Resonance makes its Dallas debut with this captivating world premiere. Conceived and composed by Artistic Director Hee Yun Kim, the production unfolds a profound emotional arc across changing seasons—moving from the vibrant fullness of life, through the winter of decay, pain, and numbness, to a resilient spring of renewed perception.

Grounded in a curated collection of Emily Dickinson and other classical poetry, the music holds a mirror to the defining crises of our existence, leaving the interpretation of loss open to whether it reflects the passing of beloved lives, the quiet erosion of our humanity, or the fracturing of our environmental habitats.

Brought to life through live classical music, electronic soundscapes, and realtime-processed projection mapping by Joel Olivas, the production features vocal solos from Mezzo-soprano Kayla Nanto and Baritone Erik Earl Larson. Together, they create an evocative sanctuary to honor our collective grief and celebrate the enduring strength of the human spirit.
