Twenty-five years of artistic brilliance converge on the Moody Performance Hall stage as DBDT: Encore! returns home for Rising Excellence. This two-night only special anniversary performance features world premieres of emerging choreographer Cameron Jade Harris’s poignant Mama’s Chair and the acclaimed co-founder of Deeply Rooted Dance Theater Kevin Iega Jeff’s visceral Church of Nations alongside signature works from the company’s illustrious repertoire.
Each evening will showcase different works from the company’s distinguished history, including Nicholas Villeneuve’s colorful The Art of Waiting, Christopher L. Huggins masterful Chaos, Richard A. Freeman, Jr.’s reflective Unsettled Thoughts, Zach Law Ingram’s incandescent Phoenix, and the sweeping Tidal Intersections by Katarzyna Skarpetowska.
