AT&T Performing Arts Center 2025 Bravo! Gala to Feature Movin' Out Star Michael Cavanaugh
Today, the nonprofit AT&T Performing Arts Center announced its 2025 Bravo! Gala will be headlined by Michael Cavanaugh performing the music of Billy Joel and Elton John. The evening, honoring Shannon and Ted Skokos and chaired by Alina and Ruben Esquivel and Candice and Adam C. Wright, will take place on Thursday, November 20 at 6:00 p.m. at the iconic Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House.
“We are truly honored to be recognized at this year’s Bravo! Gala,” said Shannon Skokos. “Supporting the AT&T Performing Arts Center is about more than the arts—it’s about investing in our community and ensuring that creativity, culture, and inspiration are accessible to everyone. We’re proud to help ensure its impact is felt for many years to come.”
Michael Cavanaugh is the new voice of the American Rock & Roll Songbook and a charismatic performer and musician made famous for his piano/lead vocals in the Broadway musical Movin’ Out. Handpicked by Billy Joel to star in Movin’ Out, Cavanaugh evokes a style rivaling the Piano Man. He appeared in the show for three years with over 1,200 performances and received multiple accolades. The show culminated in 2003 with both Grammy and Tony award nominations.
Continuing its spirit of collaboration, the Bravo! Gala will also feature “Spotlight” performances from the Center’s five resident companies including Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, Dallas Black Dance Theatre and Dallas Theater Center, as well as The Dallas Opera and Texas Ballet Theater’s co-produced piece that was one of the most talked about performances of last year’s event. The night will conclude with an after-party with continued music by DJ EndoLena.
