Bio

ANNE PLAMONDON is a Canadian choreographer and dancer celebrated for her captivating and fluid approach to movement. She began her choreographic career in 2012 with Les mêmes yeux que toi, a collaboration with director Marie Brassard, followed by Mécaniques Nocturnes (2017) and other notable works such as Seulement toi, Counter Cantor, and Fiddle Embrace.

In 2018, she founded Anne Plamondon Productions to develop her own projects and foster new collaborations. Her most recent creation, Myokine, featuring seven performers, premiered in 2023 in Montréal as part of the Danse Danse season.

From 2002 to 2015, Anne was a central member of RUBBERBAND, first as a dancer and later as co-artistic director, contributing to more than ten works and the development of the RUBBERBAND Method. Between 2006 and 2015, she also performed with Crystal Pite’s Kidd Pivot.

Her international career includes performing with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Nederlands Dans Theater 2, and Gulbenkian Ballet, dancing works by Jiří Kylián, Hans Van Manen, and Ohad Naharin. As an independent artist, she has collaborated with James Kudelka, Marie Chouinard, Marcos Morau, and Les 7 doigts de la main.

Beyond performance, Anne teaches in institutions such as EBSQ, EDQ, EDCM, and Arts Umbrella. Since 2018, she has served as dance commissioner at Domaine Forget in Charlevoix. In 2023, she was honored as Margie Gillis’s protégée in the Governor General’s Performing Arts Awards mentorship program, recognizing her lasting impact on contemporary dance.
