Originally trained in classical music, Rebecca Cordes’ curiosity and inability to resist an infectious groove have led her to create music that fuses diverse musical styles. Together with her band, Plus One Jazz Group and vocalist Kara Walton, she reimagines favorite tunes from the silver screen, the Great White Way, and American Top 40, painting them onto a colorful canvas of soulful jazz.
Also featured is a cameo performance of solo piano jazz from Rebecca’s 2024 album, American Blue, which celebrates Rhapsody in Blue’s centennial and the many diverse voices of the blues.
