Lent being half over and Easter approaching the medieval tradition of a temporary pause during Holy Week at Rose Sunday, allows us enjoyment of this concert honoring the Lenten season with Haydn Symphony 49 “La Passione,” and music for Lent by the Spanish Court’s multi-faceted chapel master Francisco Courcelle. Featuring tenor Eric Lane in Motets and Lamentation by Courcelle.  Closing the concert in an exuberant celebration of life is Carl Stamitz’s Symphony in D minor.
