Artist Biography

Erika Nicole Johnson — Vocalist

Erika Nicole Johnson is a classical contemporary vocalist from Dallas, Texas. She earned her graduate degree in Classical Voice from the Manhattan School of Music, where she studied under renowned baritone Sidney Outlaw. Her extensive performance experience includes engagements with the Janiec Opera Company and featured solo appearances at prestigious events such as:

  • The Black Academy of Arts and Letters Riverside Jazz Festival
  • The HighArt Foundation’s A Taste of Jazz
  • UNCF NYC Gala
  • Carnegie Hall

A proud product of The Black Academy of Arts and Letters under the leadership of Mr. Curtis King, Erika is also a graduate of Florida A&M University. She began her operatic journey at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and her career has since taken her to stages across the country and abroad—showcasing her versatility, artistry, and remarkable vocal depth.
