From the mysteries of our own planet to the vast reaches of the cosmos, music has long captured humanity’s fascination with the skies above. “From Earth to Outer Space” invites listeners on a journey through works inspired by the wonder, beauty, and infinite possibilities of the universe.
The Lone Star Wind Orchestra and Music Director Eugene Migliaro Corporon kicks off the 20th season with “From Earth to Outer Space” on Sunday, November 16, 2025, 3 p.m., at Moody Performance Hall in Dallas. The LSWO welcomes world-renowned euphonium soloist David Childs to give the world premiere of the wind band version of Jonathan Bates’ Stratos: Concerto for Euphonium. The program features Julie Giroux’s latest Symphony No. 7 “The Titan” along with Jun Nagao’s Earth and Gustav Holst’s Jupiter from The Planets.
