Bring the whole family for events and entertainment from the Center! Unique experiences and fun for everyone - and all for FREE!
Kick off your weekends at Sammons Park with these free outdoor events perfect for the entire family. Enjoy complimentary activities for children such as face painting, balloon artists, temporary arm tattoos, a petting zoo and more (activities depending on the day). Gather the family to play lawn games and a round of mini golf at the Reliant Putting Green. Cool off and splash around the Donor Pool.

Whether you’re young, old, somewhere in the middle, a frequent Family Weekender or a first time visitor, our Black Music Month Family Weekend welcomes everyone for a lunch in the sun filled with music and fun! Our street will be lined with 3 delicious Black-owned food trucks serving Ice Cream in a Bun, Italian Ice, Gumbo, as well as our G Texas Food Truck. We’ll have a market of Black-Owned businesses with gifts and perfect souvenirs. Out on the lawn, we’ll have a free caricaturist to capture the moment, as well as a 360 video stand to capture a lot of them. On the stage, we’ll have Black musicians showing off their style in Cherish Love’s Musical Cabaret, curated by local multi- hyphenate artist, Cherish Robinson.
