Not stuffy nor pretentious, Doug Varone is a master dancemaker and creates dance like a master painter. He paints the stage with movement, and the music comes to life. There’s a “humanness” to Varone’s work that makes it so relatable. To My Arms / Restore is a two-part work looking at the interplay between the deeply emotional and the immensely physical.
