The 2026-2027 concert season starts with a celebration of America’s 250th anniversary and salute to American composer Morton Gould. Titled AN AMERICAN SOUNDSCAPE, the program is a stirring musical tribute that weaves together the diverse voices, traditions, and triumphs that define our nation.

From the patriotic brilliance of Morton Gould and John Philip Sousa to the powerful artistry of Charles Ives and Robert Russell Bennett, this inspiring program explores the American experience through music that is both deeply rooted and boldly innovative. The concert also features the world premiere of Suite Eugene, a special tribute honoring the enduring legacy and influence of conductor Eugene Migliaro Corporon. Join the Lone Star Wind Orchestra and the LSWO Woodwind Quintet for an afternoon of reflection, celebration, and unforgettable music that honors our shared heritage while looking toward the future. Special honored guest Abby Burton, daughter of Morton Gould, will be in attendance to share stories about her father’s legacy.
