Don’t miss the 2025 Changing Perspectives Block Party! 

In celebration of Dallas Arts Month, Dallas Arts District is hosting the annual Changing Perspectives Block Party. This FREE family-friendly event features Melbourne-based performing arts company that designs, produces, and performs large-scale performances and site-specific installations fusing theater, dance, and circus using a unique combination of sway-pole apparatus and bespoke performance equipment. They will come to life on the streets of the Dallas Arts District! SWAY collaborates with diverse creatives, multidisciplinary performers, and specialist production teams to deliver dynamic, accessible performances worldwide. Click HERE for a sneak peak of SWAY Productions in Bloom. 

The event will also feature multi-award-winning Tejano music artist Monica Saldivar and the band, The Original New Orleans Buckshop with Michelle Gibson, Percussion Things, Bombshell Dance Project with Pegasus Contemporary Ballet Company, the dance party band, Aura, and community muralist Lashonda Cooks, and more. Don’t miss this family-friendly event showcasing talented artists from Dallas, along with food trucks, photo booth, a community mural, and more! Additionally, the Dallas Arts District is collaborating with Dallas ISD to bring hundreds of students to a lecture demonstration by SWAY at Sammons Park, in front of the Winspear Opera House, to explore the STEAM concepts inherent in vertical performances.
