The Colors of Winds, as explored by Samuel Barber, are especially inviting out of doors matching the riot of colorful autumn leaves…Enjoy a variety of styles and colors with a woodwind quintet led by ONS administrative manager Abby Hawthorne and friends performing the music of Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla, Ibert, Silvestrini, and more. Featuring Wind Quintet No. 2, Passacaglia, commissioned by Hawthorne from SMU Composition faculty member Lane Harder.
In the extraordinary sculpture garden of Valley House, we return to a very popular venue that served to locate our first outside concert at the start of Covid. Every ‘pod’ 6 feet apart – remember the days!
