In celebration of Dallas Arts Month, Dallas Arts District is hosting the annual Changing Perspectives Block Party. This FREE family-friendly event will feature the return of the internationally renowned BANDALOOP Vertical Dance Company, celebrating the human spirit, nature, and communities through dance that uses climbing technology to expand and challenge what is possible. They will come to life on the streets of the Dallas Arts District! An innovator of vertical performance, BANDALOOP seamlessly weaves dynamic physicality and intricate choreography to turn the dance floor on its side. The event demonstrates placemaking and space-making at its best. Click here for a sneak peek of BANDALOOP Vertical Dance Company.

Changing Perspectives Block Party will also feature multi-award-winning Tejano music artist, Monica Saldivar and The Band, vibrant singer-songwriter and entertainer Dezi 5, St. Philip’s Percussion Ensemble, Kamica King, Percussion Things, community muralist, Ebony Lewis, and Bruce Wood Dance, among others. Don’t miss this family-friendly event with some of the best artists Dallas has to offer, gourmet food trucks, a community mural, and more! Dallas Arts District is collaborating with Dallas ISD to bring hundreds of students to a lecture demonstration by BANDALOOP Vertical Dance Company at Sammons Park in front of the Winspear Opera House to discuss the main concepts of STEAM inherent in the process of vertical performances.
